The Oxford Bach Choir will be performing Ralph Vaughan Williams’ evocative A Sea Symphony – his first symphony based on the poetry of Walt Whitman, and a piece of which the Choir gave the second ever performance. The Choir will be joined by the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Soloists will be Sophie Bevan and Duncan Rock, both highly talented young singers who are achieving significant reputations internationally. The CBSO will also perform Vaughan Williams’ inspirational The Lark Ascending and the Choir will raise the roof with Parry’s Blest Pair of Sirens!
